Care Instructions

 

Leather Products 

• Cleaning: Gently wipe with a soft cloth or brush dampened with lukewarm water. Avoid submerging in water.

• Drying: Lay flat in a shaded, well-ventilated area. Do not use artificial heat sources or direct sunlight, as these may cause the leather to dry out or warp.

• Hardware: When polishing brass fittings, ensure the leather and rope components do not come into contact with the polish to prevent staining.

• Conditioning: For best results, treat occasionally with a quality leather balm to maintain suppleness and extend longevity.

• Water Exposure: Leather is not water-resistant. Prolonged contact with rain or puddles should be avoided to preserve shape and durability.

Rope Products 

• Water Exposure: Rope is resilient and can withstand occasional water contact. However, avoid prolonged dampness, particularly in pieces that incorporate leather.

• Cleaning: Hand-wash gently in cold water with a mild detergent, or machine-wash using a protective laundry bag.

• Drying: Rinse thoroughly and dry flat.

• Hardware: Brass fittings may be polished with a soft cloth. Take care not to rub against coloured rope to prevent discolouration.

Mixed Rope & Leather Designs

• Apply the recommended leather care to the leather sections, and rope care instructions to rope components.

• When drying, keep rope out of direct sunlight to protect colour, and allow leather elements to dry naturally in the shade.
