Hont Co 

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to all purchases made through Hont Co, whether via our website or direct sales channels. By placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

1. Orders & Acceptance

Orders are confirmed once payment is successfully received. Hont Co reserves the right to decline or cancel an order at its discretion.

2. Pricing

• Prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR) unless stated otherwise.

• Prices exclude shipping, duties, taxes, and insurance, unless noted at checkout.

• For international customers, local duties and taxes remain your responsibility.

• Hont Co may adjust pricing at any time without prior notice.

3. VAT

• Retail prices include VAT.

• Wholesale prices exclude VAT, which will be added as applicable.

4. Discounts

Promotional discounts are applied only at the time of purchase and cannot be backdated to past orders.

5. Delivery

Delivery times are estimates only. Delays may occur due to stock availability, production time, or circumstances beyond our control. Risk transfers to the customer once goods are dispatched.

6. Payment

• Full payment is required before goods are dispatched unless otherwise agreed in writing.

• Overdue accounts may attract interest at the prevailing South African prime overdraft rate +2% per annum, compounded monthly.

• Goods remain the property of Hont Co until paid for in full.

7. Risk & Ownership

• Risk passes to you on dispatch.

• Ownership transfers only once full payment has cleared.

• If goods are resold prior to settlement, proceeds are deemed to be held on behalf of Hont Co.

8. Warranty

• Hont Co products are warranted for six (6) months against manufacturing defects, provided they are used correctly.

• This warranty excludes damage caused by pets (e.g., chewing), improper care, misuse, or unauthorised alterations.

• Repairs, replacements, or compensation are at the discretion of Hont Co.

• International customers are responsible for shipping costs associated with returns and replacements.

9. Limitation of Liability

Hont Co, its team, and agents are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including loss of profit, arising from the use or failure of products, except as covered under the warranty above.

10. Force Majeure

Hont Co is not responsible for delays or non-performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including strikes, supply shortages, or transport delays.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by South African law. Any disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Cape Town, South Africa.

12. Intellectual Property

All Hont Co designs, trademarks, product names, packaging, and content are the exclusive property of Hont Co and may not be used or reproduced without written consent.

13. Privacy & Data Use

We handle personal data in accordance with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Information may be shared with trusted third parties solely for order fulfilment, marketing (with consent), and analytics. For details, see our Privacy Policy.

14. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute will be referred to arbitration in Cape Town under the rules of the Arbitration Foundation of Southern Africa. Hont Co may, however, seek urgent relief through the courts if necessary.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the full agreement between Hont Co and the customer. No changes are binding unless confirmed in writing and signed.

Our Returns & Refunds Policy forms part of these Terms. By placing an order, you agree to its conditions.

18. Wholesale Customers

Wholesale purchases are subject to additional terms under a separate Wholesale Agreement.
